Project Description
MFS Engineers & Surveyors provided professional engineering services at a private residence in Dorado, Puerto Rico. The proposed project included a 19.44kW roof mounted solar array at the Morales residence. MFS was retained by the client to provide Structural and Electrical engineering and Construction Administration services in support of the project.
MFS’ structural engineering services included review of available information, structural assessment, and electric utility coordination. MFS’ structural team performed a structural assessment of the existing roof to determine maximum allowable loads. The team also determined correct orientation and tilt variance of the roof to correctly configure the proposed panels. Additionally, MFS worked with the local electric utility to ensure that the installed panels met local codes and standards.
