MFS provided professional engineering services at the Casa de Religiosas Sagrado Corazón at the Universidad Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico. MFS conducted an ASHRAE Level II-Energy Survey and Analysis, produced reporting documents, and energy ratings of actual loads and their operational schedules. MFS installed a total of 135 solar panels on the roof of the facility and determined current energy consumption of key loads including refrigerators, air conditioners, and water pumps. MFS also provided recommendations on how to reduce the client’s energy consumption.
The proposed project included the construction of a 34.4 KW roof mounted solar photovoltaic system installed on the rooftop of the existing structure. MFS was retained by the organization as the lead engineer to provide structural engineering, electrical engineering, and construction management services on the project.
